Introduction

To read the written word as written is truly enlightening, but to be privileged to hear the written word, recited, by its “author”, is a literary delight. And having the privilege and pleasure of watching the written word become a living word, I applaud, and appreciate the creative influx, that Mr. Lacy weaves, (like beholding “fresh cornrows” on a “Nubian Queen”) into his works.

To target “King”, “Ghandi”, “Malcolm”, and “Kennedy” and capture the essence of their presence, each in a sequence of events that documented in part their “mark on society”, is a milestone to say the least.

Fresh…Original…and in tune with society as many other, “message filled” works, attest in rhythmic balance. Able to take the “mundane” in part and create a good read. The Looking Heart, blends the desires, fulfillment, spiritual balance, and devastations of the heart in its quest for “true love.”

With a “strong spiritual foundation” it “enhances and coddles” “the magnitude” of an effort well done.

There is a little “somthin’-somthin’” for most everyone in “Mr. (Dr.) Lacy’s” work. I’m sure you’ll cross paths with and occasion lived, witnessed, or recognized. To partake of the creations of this “poet” is as to dine on “rare cuisine”, or sip on a “vintage wine”, it’s almost as though you should “dress for the occasion”.

“A poet” who’s soon to be well renown, observed by “The Poet”.
